Bello Monte in short
Bello Monte is the part of Baruta south of the Guaire river, between Las Mercedes and Los Chaguaramos, which the municipality’s plans call Colinas de Bello Monte. The lower part, along Av. Principal, mixes office buildings, bank headquarters, shops and workshops, and has its own metro station on Line 5. The hills are residential, with apartment buildings going back to the 1950s.

The Baruta municipality counts it within the municipality’s largest employment area. The lower part, on Av. Principal de Bello Monte and Av. Leonardo da Vinci, brings together bank headquarters such as Ciudad Banesco, office buildings, neighbourhood shops and many car workshops. Going up Av. Miguel Ángel and Av. Caurimare, the area becomes residential. Las Mercedes is next door, to the east, and Sabana Grande is across the Guaire.
Offices in Bello Monte
The offices are concentrated in the lower part, near the metro and the motorway: from Bello Monte station you reach the Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro in about two minutes. The weak point is parking. The municipality documents houses turned into offices with no spaces of their own and cars parked on the pavement of Av. Principal. Before buying an office it is worth confirming how many reserved spaces it comes with and whether the building has visitor parking.
What buildings there are
The neighbourhood was laid out in the early 1950s on the former estate of the Casanova family, led by Inocente Palacios and Antonio Lombardini. From that first decade come the Concha Acústica (1954), the Edificio Philips (1954) and the Edificio Excelsior (1955), according to the archive of the Fundación Arquitectura y Ciudad.
What to check before buying
According to the municipality, many apartment buildings predate the Horizontal Property Law and several are still rented under regulation, which makes regularising ownership harder: it is worth asking for the condominium document before making an offer. Some plots in the lower part fall under the Bello Monte Geological Risk Ordinance. The Guaire burst its banks at Bello Monte in August 2022, so for basements near the river it is worth asking. Since the earthquakes of June 2026 we also ask for the structural inspection report.

Metro: Bello Monte station, on Line 5, is on Av. Principal de Bello Monte, inside the area. For now the line only runs as far as Zona Rental, where it connects with the rest of the network. On foot, Sabana Grande (Line 1) is about 20 minutes away and Chacaíto about 26, because you have to cross the Guaire by a bridge.
